Varied (hetero) length needles (phylla), darling little cones.

In the wild it grows for decades beneath the shady canopy, eventually over-topping everything to become the defining OG (old-growth) tree around these parts.

Can be bonsaied if you play your cards right.

Slow enough growing that if you plant one, it will be someone else's problem if it gets too big. It should outlive all of us ;)
