Dark green needles above yet pale green on the underside (alike to grand fir, but shorter). Little red, cuppy berries (leave to the birds, friends) with a single black (poisonous) seed.
Usually chillin' under hemlock or Doug fir in moist, old growth areas. If you remember the 80’s, that's when we learned that its bark has a cancer-fighting drug, Taxol.
